6 April 2008 Information and Consultation of Employees Regulations 2004 (the ICE Regulations) Businesses that employ at least 50 employees may come under an obligation to inform and consult employees about work-related issues (previously the ICE Regulations only applied to businesses with 100 or more employees)

Occupational and Personal Pension Schemes (Consultation by Employers and Miscellaneous Amendment) Regulations 2006

These Regulations will similarly be extended to cover undertakings with 50 or more employees
6 April 2008 Increases in statutory maternity pay (SMP), statutory adoption pay (SAP), statutory paternity pay (SPP) and statutory sick pay (SSP)

SSP will rise to £75.40 (from £72.55)

SMP, SPP and SAP will rise to £117.18 (from £112.75).
