Pay and inflation update - November 2007
EEF's monthly pay and inflation update provides the latest data on pay settlements across manufacturing.
Key points from the latest Pay Bulletin and our inflation pages include:
- The average pay settlement was unchanged at 3.2% in the three months to October.
- The monthly average settlement edged down to 3.1%.
- The proportion of settlements agreed at above 3% rose, but this was offset by an increase in pay freezes.
- All measures of inflation headed higher in October with RPI rising to 4.2% and CPI to 2.1%.
