The law governing the transfers of businesses has been with us for some time now but new Regulations, introduced in 2006, have made some important changes to the conduct of transfers and widened the scope of what is covered. If you are involved in buying or selling businesses, or even a third party in the middle of a change of contractor, you need to know about your rights and responsibilities as an employer – whether you are losing or gaining employees.
The seminar will cover the following:
· What is a transfer?
· What are the duties of the transferor and transferee?
· Exchanging information
· Contracts and dismissals – Economic,Technical or Organisational (ETO) changes explained
· Communication and consultation – making it work
The seminar will also include practical exercises and syndicate work.
The TUPE regulations are notoriously complex and full of jargon. This seminar aims to cut through the details to give you the essential knowledge you need to enable transfers to go smoothly. The course will also contain practical guidance on handling the people issues and will include input from business personnel who have experienced the process and lived to tell the tale!
A half day seminar for all those who have responsibility for handling employees through transfers.
A discount of 10% per delegate applies if 2 or more delegates attend.
EEF West Midlands reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee of up to 100% of the amount due.
