With our headquarters in the heart of England, Exactaform provide quality tooling to both large and small companies. We operate locally and globally, being able to deliver exceptional tooling with our own personal touch is our mission.
The role will involve learning how to programme machines and how they work. The first year will be based at the EEF Technology Training Centre where you will develop a foundation in engineering skills. Following on from this you will go on to specialise as a CNC machinist, where you will be taught how to programme CNC machines and gain a greater insight into how they work. When back in company you will be mentored by a senior CNC Engineer, with many years of experience, who will teach you how to write programs for jobs and amend certain parts within those programs that need adjusting to suit specific requirements of different jobs.
You will also learn the background knowledge regarding the different types of CNC machines and the process that the engineers go through for each job, such as writing the program then proofing it out by running the jobs and making any necessary changes needed.
As well as the machine-based work, you will learn how to update the tooling sheets for jobs, machine sequences when needed and building tools for specific jobs when they are required for individual machines.
This is a manufacturing environment where you will have a hands on approach where most of your learning will take place on the shop floor.
