Their product range comprises of clay bricks, Thermalite blocks, aggregate blocks, Red Bank chimney, roofing and flue systems, precast concrete and flooring products and Formpave permeable paving.

They are currently looking for two enthusiastic individuals to join their team in Newbury, Berkshire in the position of Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer Apprentice.
This is a fantastic opportunity, with yearly salary increases, to work towards becoming a fully skilled tradesperson, able to work to the highest standard of safety and skill achievable.
Including but not limited to:
Ensuring the efficient and safe working of the plant by utilizing the skills taught during your training
Carrying out preventative maintenance daily and installation of new equipment as required.
Responding to and acting upon the fault report system.
Training to be provided
You will attend EEF, in Birmingham during year first year learning the practical engineering skills on a residential basis. You will also work towards your BTEC level 3, which will include block release to EEF in year two. During your third and fourth year you will be back in company full time working towards your NVQ level 3 with support from Forterra and your EEF Training Advisor.
The residential option will involve staying in a hotel, with access to their facilities from Monday to Friday, that is organised and funded by EEF and Forterra. Rest assured, we have a 24 hour emergency line and we work in partnership with the hotel to ensure upmost safeguarding and security for all of our students.
