The apprentice will train as a Multi skilled production systems technician. After your basic training at level 2 you will continue to be trained by the company in this work role, allowing you to gain level 3 qualifications through your work role.
Eventually you will be able to discuss with your customers their specific requirements, to solve problems they wish to overcome.
Working as either part of a team or by yourself to design the equipment & systems to solve whatever their production problems are.
You will work in all technical departments of the business, including:
- The building of machines
- Electrical integration
- Control and software development and mechanical design and commissioning
- With the goal of becoming a fully trained Mechatronic Engineer.
Training to be Provided
As a production systems apprentice you will receive a wide range of training at level 2 to start off your apprenticeships covering Turning, Milling Bench Fitting, CAD, Electrical wire & test. Then returning to company you will receive training to help you complete an advanced level 3 position.
- BTEC Engineering at level 3
- NVQ Engineering at level 3
- Functional Skills at level 2, as required
Ideally you will have or be expecting to achieve GCSE grade B/6 in Maths, Science & C/5 grade English. Or equivalent qualifications. Along with a good standard of general education.
