EEF's Technology Training Centre recieves £2 million investment

Manufacturing is constantly evolving, so the EEF Technology Training Centre continues to offer new training courses, equipment and facilities to keep pace. At its recent apprentice graduation ceremony, EEF announced a £2 million investment in the Birmingham training centre.

The new funding will include state-of-the-art high-tech equipment and additional robotics equipment, including four industrial-scale robots. This new equipment rounds out an already impressive array of offerings at the centre, including

  • 50,000 sq. ft. training facility

  • Over 120 machines including

    • milling

    • turning

    • CNC

    • grinding

    • drilling

    • sawing

    • sheet metal

    • fitting

    • hydraulics and pneumatics

    • maintenance

    • robotics

    • PLCs

    • rapid prototyping  

  • 14 fully equipped welding bays

  • 14 electrical training bays

  • fully equipped CAD suite

The EEF Technology Training Centre trains over 500 apprentices a year, equipping them for a career in modern manufacturing and engineering. Working with over 80 employers across the UK, EEF designs and delivers effective apprentice training programs and matching apprentices with exciting vacancies.
