Mark has many years’ experience in both the Business development and Education and Training fields, working in partnership with businesses in the West Midlands region for over 15 years, and also being involved in apprentice and staff training for over nine years.
He joined the EEF Technology Training Centre in March 2015, and credits the move to wanting to be part of an organisation at the forefront of best practice in the delivery of manufacturing and engineering apprenticeship schemes.
His role as Commercial Manager involves helping manufacturing and engineering companies save time and money on recruiting their next apprentice, while offering guidance on staff development and career progression through technical training.
Mark also support locals engineering organisations when it comes to the Apprenticeship Levy and understanding the new apprenticeship standards that are available to employers.
For Mark, this intensive process of guidance and recruitment is all made worthwhile by witnessing the first day of apprentice enrolment at the training centre, where new apprentices start the first day of their training and first steps towards their career.
