Guy has more than 15 years of HR management experience gained within both highly unionised manufacturing environments and the professional services sector. As a member of EEF’s HR and Legal team, he provides advice, support and guidance on employee relations and employment law issues - both via the EEF Advice Line and through providing on-site support. He covers a broad spectrum of issues, including tackling sickness absence, restructuring, redundancy and TUPE.
Prior to joining EEF, he was HR Manager at Robinson Willy in Liverpool. Working in partnership with the union, he introduced a number of new working practices, including a new handbook. The changes delivered substantial organisational benefits, including a significant reduction in sickness absence levels.
Previously, Guy was HR Executive at DWF LLP, a commercial law firm with offices in Liverpool and Manchester. In this role he set up the HR department and introduced appraisal systems. He has a first degree in French and Management studies, a Masters Degree in Law & Employee Relations and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
