Lisa is a Senior HR and legal adviser in the EEF Gateshead office. She is a practising Barrister having been called to the Bar in 2005. Whilst studying Lisa was awarded the Queen Mother’s Scholarship by her Inn of Court which was the highest scholarship to be awarded to any student for potential as an advocate.
Lisa is a highly experienced employment specialist having previously practised in Chambers before joining EEF in 2008 and completing her Pupillage under the guidance of one of the region’s leading employment Barristers. Lisa has appeared in a wide variety of complex Employment Tribunal hearings and has conducted full hearings in the Employment Appeal Tribunal. Lisa is a member of the Employment Lawyer’s Association.
In her role at EEF Lisa provides HR and Legal advice to EEF’s clients at a strategic level, advising CEOs, Managing Directors, Senior Managers and all levels of HR professionals. In addition to the provision of advice Lisa also acts for and represent EEF’s clients in respect of Employment Tribunal claims and regularly appears in the Employment Tribunal. This includes representation in Pre-Claim and Early Conciliation through ACAS.
Lisa’s responsibilities also include the Settlement Agreement service provided to EEF’s clients from the initial drafting of the Agreement, through negotiation with the other parties’ legal representatives to finalisation of the process.
