In 2011 Roger joined the EEF Yorkshire and Humberside team as a Senior Adviser. He has used his skills as an advocate and commercial litigator to help member companies deal with atypical aspects of employment law, such as restrictive covenant work. He has also resolved numerous employee disputes in the context of workplace mediations.
Roger has Higher Rights of Audience status, a Law Society approved specialist advocacy qualification, and is a qualified mediator. He qualified as a solicitor in 1988 and throughout his career he has specialised in both commercial contract disputes and employment law. He became a partner in private practice in 1995, managing a branch office for a medium-sized South Yorkshire company that employs more than 400 staff. In addition to carrying out both contentious and non-contentious employment law, he had responsibility for the human resources function.
