Our Future Manufacturing Award Apprentice categories celebrate the achievements of apprentices in engineering and manufacturing businesses in their first and final year.

These awards recognise apprentices at various levels of apprenticeships who have done the most to seize the training and development opportunities presented to them.

Entries are invited from apprentices themselves as well as managers within the business or tutors within the training provider who have responsibility for them.

Each company may enter up to 6 apprentices per site per award.

Intermediate & Advanced Apprentice Award - First Year

This award has been developed for Intermediate and Advanced level apprentices who have done the most to seize the training and development opportunities presented to them during the first year of their Engineering Apprenticeship programme.

This award is open to apprentices who will complete the first year of their Level 2 (Intermediate) or Level 3 (Advanced) engineering-focused apprenticeship programme in the 2016/17 academic year. This must be the apprentice's first year of their apprenticeship.

Intermediate & Advanced Apprentice Award - Final Year

This award has been developed for Intermediate and Advanced level apprentices who have done the most to seize the training and development opportunities presented to them during the final year of their Engineering Apprenticeship programme, and who have made significant contribution to support the business activities of their employer.

This award is open to apprentices who will complete the final year of their Level 2 (Intermediate) or Level 3 (Advanced) engineering-focused apprenticeship programme in the 2016/17 academic year.

Higher Apprentice Award - First Year

This award has been developed for Higher level apprentices in engineering disciplines who have done the most to seize the training and development opportunities presented to them during the first year of their Apprenticeship programme.

This award is open to apprentices who will complete the first year of their Level 4 (Higher) or level 6 (Degree) engineering-focused apprenticeship programme in the 2016/17 academic year. For the purpose of this award this includes apprentices working towards NVQ Level 4, HNC, HND, FDeg and/or degree.

Higher Apprentice Award - Final Year

This award has been developed for Higher level apprentices in engineering disciplines who have done the most to seize the training and development opportunities presented to them during the final year of their Apprenticeship programme, and who have made significant contribution to support the business activities of their employer.

This award is open to apprentices who will complete the final year of their Level 4 (Higher) or level 6 (Degree) engineering-focused apprenticeship programme in the 2016/17 academic year. For the purpose of this award this includes apprentices who are achieving their NVQ Level 4, HNC, HND, FDeg and/ or degree.

Business Apprentice Award - First Year

This award has been developed for business/commercial apprentices, working within engineering/manufacturing firms, who have done the most to seize the training and development opportunities presented to them during the first year of their Apprenticeship programme. Disciplines include but are not limited to: logistics, supply chain, procurement, project management, HR, business administration.

This award is open to apprentices who will complete the first year of their non-engineering apprenticeship programme at an engineering/manufacturing business in the 2016/17 academic year.

Business Apprentice Award - Final Year

This award has been developed for business/commercial apprentices, working within engineering/manufacturing firms, who have done the most to seize the training and development opportunities presented to them during the final year of their Apprenticeship programme, and who have made significant contribution to support the business activities of their employer. Disciplines include but are not limited to: logistics, supply chain, procurement, project management, HR, business administration.

This award is open to apprentices who will complete the final year of their non-engineering apprenticeship programme at an engineering/manufacturing business in the 2016/17 academic year.
