Tim is responsible for our engagement with national and European governments on employment policy, their associated legal issues and pensions and workforce issues that impact the manufacturing sector.
He provides expert legal input on key employment representation issues, frequently writing EEF’s formal responses to Government and also providing an employer perspective to key Government officials responsible for policy development. Tim regularly appears in print and broadcast media. He has also provided oral and written evidence to parliamentary committees on several occasions.
Prior to joining EEF, Tim worked in the security sector, providing advice on policy and legal issues to a wide range of corporations. He also maintained a presence in Brussels, working closely with the employer’s sectoral organisation and a range of governmental departments and the European Commission.
Tim began his career in general private legal practice, advising and representing private and public sector organisations. He has also served as a higher court advocate practising in the High Court and the Crown Court.
