Industry Site Tours

Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery Feilden House Teal Park

Session 1 - 14:30 - 15:15 | Session 2 - 15:30 - 16:15

With over 170 years of engineering history, the Siemens gas turbine business in Lincoln is at the forefront of energy sustainability - supplying efficient power and lifetime product service to the global oil and gas industry, power generation and mechanical drive applications.

Energy from Waste / FCC Environment Site Visit

Session 1 - 14:30 - 15:15 | Session 2 - 15:30 - 16:15

Energy from Waste (EfW) technology emerged as the solution to Lincolnshire's waste problem. The site opened in 2014 and provides a sustainable, safe and affordable waste treatment solution, and allows energy to be produced from waste which isn't recycled or composted. The plant produces enough electricity for 26,500 homes. The ash is hauled off site for road building across the UK and any metals recovered are sent for recycling. FFC Environment are keen to talk to businesses about the opportunity to use residual heat.
