UK Goods Exports hit record level in October 2011

Some good news from ONS today:

  • UK goods exports rose to a record level of £26.5bn in October.
  • Imports of goods also fell, to £34.1bn, meaning the balance of trade deficit decreased to £7.6bn.
  • Exports to non-EU countries hit the record level of £12.6bn. Exports to EU countries also increased.
