Terry Scuoler, CEO of EEF, will lead European manufacturers in Brussels and Strasbourg, as Chairman of CEEMET.
The organisation represents 27 member federations comprising some 230,000 manufacturing companies across Europe.
He assumes his new three-year role at a critical time for the future of both the European institutions and the EU economy. His first task is to introduce CEEMET’s European Roadmap, which sets out far-reaching proposals to promote an industrial renaissance across Europe. The overarching aim is to hit the EU’s target of raising manufacturing’s contribution to EU GDP from the current 15.1% to 20% by 2020.
EEF has played a key role in developing the roadmap, including proposals for reform of the Commission and Parliament - to make economic growth and high skill job creation a priority.
