EEF response to implementing the English Baccalaureate

EEF has responded to the Government's consultation on implementing the English Baccalaureate (EBacc).

The consultation sought views on:


  • what factors schools should consider when deciding that a pupil shouldn’t take all the GCSE subjects for the English Baccalaureate (EBacc)
  • proposed changes to the range of data we publish about school performance
  • the challenges of implementing the EBacc, including teacher recruitment
  •  EEF's response can be found below.
