Manufacturing Local Growth - a manifesto for the West Midlands

EEF sets out how the new Mayor can boost manufacturing in the West Midlands in this manifesto.

Our engagement with industry across the West Midlands highlights why manufacturers are based here. The West Midlands has long been a location recognised as a hub of engineering excellence. This manufacturing expertise serves as a robust foundation to support the wider regional economy and manufacturing further afield. The priorities manufacturers would like to see addressed in the West Midlands are tackling skills shortages and policies to help enable business growth. The sector welcomes the Devolution Deal agreed between government and local authorities as a way to improve the business environment notably in the areas of transport and infrastructure.
