EEF has submitted comments on the Government Equalities Office (GEO) call for evidence on supporting returners to work after time off for caring responsibilities.

EEF has commented on:

  • The low numbers of women in manufacturing and engineering
  • New gender pay gap reporting regulations and the manufacturing gender pay gap
  • Shared parental leave and pay
  • Use of flexible working among manufacturers
  • Enhanced maternity pay and packages in the manufacturing industry.
