EEF has responded to the Home Affairs Select Committee inquiry into immigration policy.

Our response highlights:

  • the important role EU nationals play in the manufacturing workforce
  • the job roles EU nationals fill in the manufacturing workplace and the reasons why manufacturers recruit EU nationals
  • the need for employers to be able to post workers to and from EU member states
  • the impact of applying the same, or similar, restrictions to EU nationals as are currently applied to non-EU nationals.
