EEF has responded to the House of Lords Economic Affairs Committee inquiry into Brexit and the Labour Market: Brexit or Opportunity?

Our submission responded to questions around:

  • the level of net migration needed in the UK
  • the impact on wages in the UK if access to EU nationals was restricted
  • whether there is a case for a regional immigration system
  • how successful controls on non-EU migration have been and the impact of these policies.
