Paul is responsible for developing and growing EEF’s membership in Wales. He leads EEF’s policy and external affairs activity in Wales, making sure members gain maximum value for their membership, utilising services and support available. By working with partner organisations and regional media Paul is able to raise the profile of EEF member companies locally and nationally. He’s also in charge of designing and delivering a programme of regional events which enable members to share best practice, network, and learn from industry experts.
Prior to this Paul was chief executive of the Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS) in Wales, where he elevated them to a position of one of the highest performing MAS organisations in the UK. Paul has over 35 years experience in many manufacturing design and production engineering roles. He moved to technical director and then managing director of Hill Industries, who have sites in Wales and Czech Republic. Paul is a board member of Council for Economic Renewal chaired by the first minister in Wales. He is also chair of the Procurement Supplier Board Wales and chair of Commerce Cymru, which advises the first minister on priorities for economic growth in Wales.
