June is responsible for managing and developing relationships with member companies in Yorkshire and Humberside. She works closely with members to ensure that they gain maximum value from their EEF membership, utilising the services and support available. Working with partner organisations and regional media, she helps to raise the profile of businesses and ensures that their interests are represented locally and nationally. This involves designing and delivering a programme of regional events where members are able to share best practice, network and learn from experts. She supports our Regional Advisory Board for Yorkshire and Humberside, co-ordinating its skills and small business subgroups.
Before joining EEF, June developed the Oldham Business Leadership Group (OBLG), where she consulted with the wider community to develop the group’s economic and community strategies. Ultimately this led to the creation of the OBLG Community Interest Company.
During her time as private sector policy officer for the north of England, June worked for the Commission for Racial Equality. Here she worked with businesses to develop national policy and and good practice. This led to the start of the successful Oldham United Community Cohesion Campaign.
