EEF's Membership Director for the North, Richard Halstead, will speak at the event's Science Made Smarter breakout session, exploring the use of sensors and IoT to accelerate automation and productivity. Richard will help bring these new technologies into the context of how manufacturers can use them to grow and improve productivity.

Other key speakers during the day will include John Grasmeder, Chief Scientist, Victrex, who will discuss the 'Business of Innovation' and Andrew Hosty, Chief Executive, Henry Royce Institute, who will explain 'The Commercialisation of Science'.
