Ollie leads EEF’s policy work on defence, aerospace and security issues and seeks to influence government policy and public debate in the interests of NDI and its member companies.
Ollie joined EEF in 2016 from the Civil Service, during which time he focused predominantly on military procurement and defence industrial and international policy. He has worked closely with the private sector at all levels from prime contractor to SME and understands the particular set of challenges that make working in this environment both uniquely challenging and fulfilling.
With 13 years of experience in the Civil Service with the Ministry of Defence, Ollie has had vast experience dealing with industrial policy, export policy and international acquisition policy. He also has experience working in DE&S on major project delivery and in Defence Intelligence working on foreign capability assessments.
"The UK is lucky to be home to some of the world’s most capable and innovative defence companies, and nowhere is this truer than among our SME community. Supporting our members in their relations with Government therefore makes for enormously rewarding employment."
