This section explains the law on discrimination, equal pay and gender pay reporting and the protection given to whistleblowers. The law protects fixed and part time workers from being discriminated against because of their status and this section summarises the position. We also look at equality policies and their benefits and the role of monitoring and positive action in promoting equal opportunities.
