An employee whose partner is having a baby, or who is adopting a child, may be entitled to up to two weeks' paid Ordinary Paternity Leave (OPL) and, if the mother/adopter returns to work early from maternity or adoption leave, up to 26 weeks' paid Additional Paternity Leave (APL).
