This webpage covers the main stages of the selection process, i.e. shortlisting, interviewing and the actual selection of candidates.

Note that the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) Code of Practice says that an employer is more likely to make consistent and objective selection decisions if the same staff members are responsible for selection at all stages of the recruitment process for each vacancy and that they should receive training about discrimination law and the employer’s equality policy.
