EEF Regional Manufacturing Outlook

This new publication from EEF, in partnership with DLA Piper LLP, takes a closer look at the industrial make up of different UK regional economies and how this has influenced recent business trends and confidence levels amongst manufacturers within those regions.

Manufacturing is important to our national economy in terms of its contribution to the UK’s productivity performance, exports, innovation capacity and employment. It also makes significant contributions to local and regional economic areas around the UK.

With the drive towards the devolution of greater responsibility to support growth in local areas, this report highlights the breadth of opportunities that a strong manufacturing base can offer for local growth.
