EEF’s first benchmark on the gender pay gap in the manufacturing sector.
As the deadline has now passed for in scope companies to publish their Gender Pay Gap figures, EEF have analysed the data submitted to the government’s gender pay gap service website to provide the trends for the manufacturing sector.
Our new report not only gives the latest data on the gender pay gap and other required reporting metrics, it also provides a useful insight into the whole topic, looking at what it is, why companies are required to report their metrics, the difference between gender pay gap and equal pay and the factors behind the gender pay gap. We also outline some steps employers can take to close the gender pay gap as well as highlighting three manufacturers that have already taken proactive steps in this area.
