CIPD Qualified and with a BA Hons degree in Education; Psychology and Sociology, Alison has 20 years’ experience of carrying out practical HR and legal training in line with legislation and best practice.
Alison has previously headed up the HR and Legal team regionally and locally. She has represented companies in Employment Tribunal and has provided practical advice on employment law legislation and its application to many EEF member companies. Alison has provided advice in all areas of HR from recruitment and selection through to termination of employment including ending the employment relationship. She draws on her experience to enhance the training by discussing the type of situations that she has dealt with and the best way of handling those situations.
Alison’s style is to adopt a blended approach to learning. This incorporates legislation with its practical application within the workplace encompassing soft skills. Alison uses practical case studies and exercises to enhance learning.
