This online Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) course aims to provide those working with hazardous substances at any level or in any sector with guidance on safe and effective practices. The responsibilities of employees and employers will be covered, as well as the facts about COSHH legislation, with the result being a full and thorough understanding of harmful substance usage.

By completing this course, delegates will:

  • Understand what COSHH stands for and why it is important.
  • Know where hazardous substances may be found.
  • Be fully aware of the effects that dangerous substances can have on their health.
  • Be able to identify danger warning symbols.
  • Know how to assess risks and ensure control measures are used and maintained.
  • Be able to carry out appropriate health surveillance.
  • Have the opportunity to download a certificate, stating completion.

There are no pre-requisites for this course.

Assessment:

Online course, followed by multiple choice test, with 75% pass mark needed.
