For the third consecutive year, EEF Venues is pledging its support to the event industry’s charity, Meeting Needs.
As a ‘Charity Partner’, EEF Venues has helped to raise funds to assist many initiatives supported by the charity throughout 2016, such as:
- The provision of clean, safe water for 7,000 villagers in Uganda.
- 100 trips through UK charity ‘Happy Days’ for children aged 3 – 17 with special needs, including multiple disabilities, life-limiting conditions and children who have been abused.
- The shipping of 400 refurbished bicycles, saved from landfill sites in the UK, to Ghana to provide transportation for 400 families so that children can attend school and parents find work.
David Vaughton director of venues for EEF Venues, said: ”Meeting Needs can count on our support throughout 2017 and into the future. As it is the meeting and events industry’s official charity, it is up to us, as players within this industry, to do what we can to support the wonderful work done by the charity, both at home and abroad.”
