Taking a meeting or team building exercise out of doors can work wonders for attention, engagement and morale. This is particularly true during the summer months when concentration levels can drop with rising temperatures.
For the entire month of August, Martyn Bowen, our venue manager at Engineers’ House in the leafy suburbs of Bristol, is offering three free delegate places with bookings for over 30 people.
“Fresh air in a green space takes your delegates to a different place – mentally, emotionally and physically - to aid relaxation and to open minds to new ideas”, said Martyn.
“We are fortunate to have a formal lawn, our own woodland garden and access to public woodlands and playing fields right on our doorstep in Clifton Downs so it is an ideal venue for outdoor team building and training events.”
Full day delegates rates include complimentary teas and coffees and a choice of seasonal dishes from the restaurant which can eaten alfresco on the terrace, or the team can arrange a barbecue as part of the package.
“We provide the backdrop, the expertise and everything from a marquee to props to ensure that every event is memorable and successful. A good example is when Canada Life recently used owls at Engineers’ House to demonstrate the importance of focus. They maximised the use of our fresh green spaces to engage staff in a creative team-building event that wasn’t only a hoot, by all accounts, but it also drove an important business message home.”
August bookings are now being taken at Engineers’ House and for those who wish to experience the nightlife of Clifton and Bristol, preferential rates are available at the nearby Avon Gorge Hotel.
