The rules on employees’ right to request flexible working are changing from April 2024.
The changes include:
- making the entitlement a day one right;
- allowing employees to make two such requests in a year (rather than one);
- reducing the timeframe for employers to respond to such requests from three months to two; and
- requiring you to hold a meeting with the employee to consult with them before rejecting a statutory flexible working request.
