The EEF Photography Awards: Made in Britain
The EEF ‘Made in Britain’ Photography Awards 2012 are now closed for entries. Thank you to everyone that took the time to participate, we have seen record levels of entries reaching almost 900 this year!
The first round of judging is now underway and the shortlist will be displayed on our website by the end of October.
We will be hosting a celebration event at the House of Commons in December, where shortlisted images will be displayed and the winners will be announced. Shortlisted entrants will be notified and invitations to the event will be sent out.
If you have any queries relating to the Awards or the celebration event please contact Stuart Biddle on 020 7654 1501 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
So, how do you identify what is Made in Britain?
We're searching for photographs that capture the British products, components or processes in abstract form or in their full glory.
Your image could be of anything from turbines to ceramic pots, steel rods to silicon chips - the theme is open to your interpretation. All you need to do is add captions to your photographs explaining how your image depicts the theme 'Made by Britain.'
Manufacturers close to you
This year we’ve teamed up with the Made by Britain campaign, a project run by the Associate Parliamentary Manufacturing Group to inspire a new public perception and celebrate British design and manufacturing. As part of their campaign they have identified manufacturing companies located throughout Britain.
Companies who have signed up to the campaign will be encouraged to open their facilities to allow our photographers access for the competition. Find out more about companies where you can shoot your images
Your image can either be a product, component or process from one of these companies or from your employer or from another source - it's up to you.
Our photography awards are free to enter and open to everyone until 28 September 2012.
