Quality and business improvement techniques

This 4½ day Quality and Business Improvement Techniques training will develop the delegates’ knowledge and skills of Lean principles to help them take a more integrated approach to Continuous Improvement in their workplace. Through completing this course, the delegates will gain an in-depth understanding of how to analyse any process and then how to begin implementation of the improvements in the workplace.

  • Course content
  • During the course, candidates will cover the following:

    • Value and Waste
    • Problem Solving, Root Cause Analysis and FMEA
    • Process Confirmation, Capability and Statistical Control
    • Standard Operations and Value Stream Mapping (VSM) Toolkit

    Note: The course may include various Lean simulation activities through the use of stopwatches and video analysis, subject to agreement between EEF and the Client.

  • Pre-requisites
  • This Quality and Business Improvement Techniques training is ideal for:

    • Delegates who have some previous experience of Lean principles and methodologies
    • Delegates who have a desire to use an integrated approach to continuous improvement
  • Assessment
  • Whilst there is no formal assessment on this course, delegates will need to demonstrate a basic working knowledge and understanding of CAD and complete their own portfolio. On successful completion of the course, delegates will receive a certificate of attendance.  Performance feedback can be provided to the Customer if required.
